Policy Statement Regarding Dress and Nudity (CFA 4-15-95)Modeling for classical and modern fine art is figure modeling and candidates should expect the accent to be on the human figure. It has been called "modeling at its best". Experience shows that successful figure models will generally be confident of their appearance, be self-assured, enjoy sharing their beauty and not be overly modest. Likewise, actresses should expect nude scenes, as the Council's reputation has been built on providing exceptional figures to the TV and motion picture industry.
However, The Council respects the dignity and preferences of every candidate and strives to provide an environment of comfort and satisfaction for all tastes. It is a direct violation of Council policy for there to be any sanctions or pressure whatsoever placed upon prospective models or actresses regarding dress or acceptance of nude modeling or acting assignments.
